Genealogies, correspondence, notes, etc. concerning the descendants of John Osborn (1607-1686) of Weymouth, Mass., and William Hobson (1626-1659) of Rowley, Mass., with allied families of Brown, Gale and Page. The Osborn Papers were compiled by Katherine H. Osborn from approximately 1935 to 1977. Begun at the suggesstion of her mother, Mrs. Osborn expanded the project to include her husband's family, the Osborns, and his related lines. Some of the work was delegated to professionals. Two, Geneve M. Melvin and Vernon L. Nickerson, respectively worked on, Mr. Osborn's Page ancestors and on Mrs. Osborn's Hobson royal lineage. Accompanying the genealogical materials are scattered private papers.
